SEIYA: The air conditioner that brings silence to your home

19 April 2023, Johannesburg – The latest in Japanese technology ensures the SEIYA air conditioning system can be seamlessly integrated into any living space.

To reduce noise and improve comfort, SEIYA’s silent function halves the sound level of the outdoor unit, while its quiet function reduces noise from the indoor unit.

A silent solution that uses new Toshiba inverter and compressor technologies with R32 to provide A++ cooling and heating performances, this unit offers true energy savings and year-round comfort.

Silence anywhere

The SEIYA system’s unique silent operation mode allows the user to halve the outdoor noise level, while its quiet function reduces noise from the indoor unit, ensuring residents of a home and their neighbours will have an uninterrupted good night’s sleep.

With a touch of the remote control, the sound pressure level of the outdoor unit can be decreased by -5dB(A), prioritising minimum outdoor sound levels.

The indoor unit can also operate at the lowest noise level. It shifts to super-low fan speed, thereby reducing the sound of the indoor unit by 3dB(A).

Innovative technology

Toshiba’s innovative rotary compressor technology combines exemplary performance with outstanding reliability, minimising fluctuations to ensure a constant temperature increases efficiency while eliminating the risk of incidental noise.

This allows the SEIYA unit to regulate heating and cooling capacity at all times, by adjusting the compressor speed to demand.

Comfort can also be customised with this system’s smart features, finding the perfect cooling or heating level for any home at any time, no matter where the residents are.

By replacing the infrared remote control with the optional wireless adapter and its intuitive smart app, this gives easy access to air conditioners on the move, allowing people to adapt their comfort to their lifestyle. Desired settings can also be stored and activated at the touch of a button.

Other features include energy monitoring and smart speaker voice control functions compatible with Google Home Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Improved air quality

The ultra-fresh filter used in the SEIYA system captures up to 85% of PM2.5, creating healthy living spaces.

PM2.5 refers to particles from atmospheric pollution that have a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometres, and studies have found a close link between exposure to fine particles and lung disease.

By relying on this unit, residents of homes and their families can ensure they stay safe and healthy.

SEIYA products also include Toshiba’s new refrigerant R32, reducing levels of global warming and ensuring they are better for the environment.

Other features

The SEIYA system also offers a range of other exclusive features, providing real value for money and providing residents of a home and their visitors the best in terms of comfort in any living space.

Operating modes

Select from auto changeover, cooling, drying (dehumidification) and heating.

Comfort sleep

For optimum comfort, the temperature can be set to rise by 1°C after one hour, then another degree after two hours, which will be maintained until morning.

Airflow can be controlled with five fan speeds or the auto fan speed can be selected to let the air conditioner do the thinking.

High power

Extra airflow assists in rapidly reaching desired temperature settings.

On-demand defrost

This function ensures the unit can be used in even the most extreme conditions, clearing ice at the touch of a remote control button.

On-Off timer

The Toshiba remote control provides convenient automatic start and stop operations which can be programmed in advance.

With Toshiba taking another step forward in constantly innovating to guarantee excellence, the SEIYA system (available in South Africa through AHI) has been designed with maximum comfort in mind, meeting the needs of users to integrate the unit into their homes without interrupting their lives.
